About the Image Brightness Adjuster
The Brightness Adjuster scales visible RGB values up or down and clamps them to the valid byte range. A zero setting is neutral, negative values darken and positive values lighten.
How to use the Image Brightness Adjuster
- Load the image.
- Move the brightness control toward a modest positive or negative value.
- Process and check that highlights and shadows still retain detail.
Practical tips
- Large positive changes can clip bright detail permanently.
- Brightness correction works best on an original-quality source.
